In the Spring of 1964, they relocated to Carlton, Oregon to be near family and raise their daughter, Diana. Lois picked beans and berries and then went to work for Oakwood Glen. In 1969 Lois began working in food service at Linfield College. She remained there until her retirement in 1998.
Her hobbies included gardening and crocheting. Lois was a member of the Yamhill LDS Church. She was also active in the church gardening club.
