Chuck Allen Abbott, 59, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 13, 2017, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Chuck was born April 3, 1957, in Provo, Utah, to Duane Ronald Abbott and Bonna Yvonne Ballard Abbott. He grew up and attended schools in Santa Rosa, California, and graduated from Santa Rosa High School. He moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, when he was 18 years old and he attended Eastern Idaho Technical College.

He was a loving father to his three children, Katie, Shawn, and Brittney. Chuck made his home in Idaho Falls where he worked in information technology at the INL.

He was a member of Watersprings Church and watched services every Sunday. He enjoyed boating, golfing, and NASCAR. He especially loved riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He was a carpenter and was very good with his hands. He had a passion for life, friends, and family.

Chuck is survived by his
daughter, Katie (Rick) Abbott of Idaho Falls;
son, Shawn (CJ) Abbott of Idaho Falls;
daughter, Brittney (Mike) Tetro of Boise, ID;
brother, Slade (Sheryl) Abbott of Santa Rosa, CA;
brother, Derick (Jenny) Abbott of Santa Rosa, CA;
love of his life, Christina Guanell of Idaho Falls;
4 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Mike Abbott, and sister-in-law, Dana Abbott.


A Gathering will be held Friday, February 17, 2017, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. A viewing will be from 1-1:30 p.m. with a visitation to follow until 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
