John Aadsen, 78, Rt. 1, Bigfork, died in Kalispell early Monday morning.
Mr. Aadsen was born July 21, 1891, at Webster, S.D., a son of Bertinnis and Olava Aadsen.
In 1907, he moved with his family to Everett, Wash., and in 1909, he moved to the Flathead Valley. He was then engaged in farming south of Creston and had served as a substitute mail carrier for the Bigfork and Creston rural route area.
March 12, 1924, he was married to Nellie Holler at Kalispell. The couple then moved to Everett, Wash., returning in 1926 to the Flathead and have lived in the Creston area since that time.
Mr. Aadsen was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church and the Eastside Grange.
He is survived by his widow, Nellie, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Ernest (Betty) Lunstad of Bigfork; one brother, Hjalmer Aadsen of Bigfork; two sisters, Mrs. Dale (Alice) Barker of Fayetteville, N.C. and Mrs. Earl (Tillie) Requa of Pompano Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements of Mr. Aadsen will be announced by the Johnson Funeral Home.
