Born in Banks County on April 9, 1923, he was the son of the late John Harrison & Martha Lewallen Poole. He retired from Patterson Pump and was a member of Nails Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and watermelon farming. He was also preceded in death by his brothers: Allen Poole, Fletcher Poole, Wiley Poole, Aubrey Poole; sisters: Edith Turner, Annie Mae Garrison, Odessa Wood.
Surviving are wife, Jennie Lou Bellamy Poole of Toccoa; daughter, Patricia Aaron of Toccoa; sons: Kenneth Poole of Toccoa, Larry Poole of Lula, Roger Poole of Toccoa, Ralph Poole of Atlanta; 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
