Mary Frances Abrahamson Abbott, 91, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. She was born on August 18, 1925 in Quanah, TX to Oscar and Gertie Burch. She was Register of Deeds for Stafford County for 12 years. She loved to play golf, tennis and bridge and most of all she loved to watch sports. On February 12, 1944 she married Verne Abrahamson. He died December 7, 1960. She married Raymond Abbott on June 29, 1974. He died September 24, 1999.
Survivors are son: Darwin Abrahamson (Carol), Portland OR., daughters: Kara Bonner, (Steve) Stafford, Kay Jones, (Jack) Wayne, OK. Two step daughters: Barbara McInnis, Marrieta, CA and Ginger Abbott, Valley Springs, CA. Brother: Don Burch of Canoga, Park, CA. Five grandchildren Melia Vinduska of Hico, TX, Taylor Bonner (Jodi) of Bonner Springs, KS, Clint Bonner (Leah) of Stafford, KS, Ceri McCaffery and Paige Jones of Wayne, OK, and 8 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers JO Burch, Billy Max Burch, Gary Burch and sisters Mona Faye Murphy and Mildred McGuire.
Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Stafford Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 1-7 p.m. with the family receiving friends 5-7 p.m. at Minnis Chapel, Stafford.
