Lucy Birl Appleby Aaron, 74, Pendleton, died March 1, 2006 at Rawlins House, Pendleton, after an extended illness. She was born December 6, 1931 in Albany, Kentucky, and resided in Pendleton. She was a resident of New Castle for over 50 years.
She was a homemaker and volunteered at Westwood Elementary School. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader. She was a volunteer for the March of Dimes.
She is survived by four children, Pamela Elaine Hawkins, Cathy Sue McClure, Martha Nell Baker and R. Dale Aaron. She was preceded in death by her husband, whom she married March 28, 1950, Cecil Dale Aaron; her parents, Robert Pollard and Roxie Gladys Hunter Appleby; a son, Clinton; and a brother, O.C. Appleby.
