Survived by his loving wife, Ruth Hall Aaron of 56 years of marriage, Jack was preceded by his eldest son Reginald Drewey Aaron; his father, Edgar Aaron; his mother Susie Roach; his step-father, Edgar Roach and lovingly remembered by his surviving two sons, Greg Aaron and wife Louise and Todd Aaron and wife Lesley; his grandchildren, Drew Aaron, Leigh Aaron, Charles Aaron, John Sipe, Anne Sipe, Chris Hall and John Hall, multiple great-grandchildren and his brother, Edgar Roach and wife Deborah and sons John and Ted.
Born in Stokes County on December 10, 1934 to Susie Rhuamer Roach, Jack grew up under the care of his family in Eden and Aberdeen North Carolina. At the early age of 16, Jack enlisted in the United States Army and served a total of nine years before returning to Leaksville North Carolina.
Upon his return to Leaksville, Jack was employed as a pressman for Lithoweb. With an innate knack for graphic arts as well as an innovative problem solver, he quickly was promoted through the ranks to Plant Manager at Vanier Graphics. Seeking the entrepreneurial freedom he always relished, Jack left Vanier Graphics and formed Style Kraft Printing in Eden where he ran the business with his son Reggy until Jack’s retirement in 2000.
A devoted father and loving husband, Jack was dedicated to serving not only his family, but the many members of multiple organizations. As a charter member of the Eden Kiwanis, he was also actively involved in Scouting, Jack was Assistant Scoutmaster and Troop Commissioner for Troop 553 in Eden. Expanding his reach, Jack selflessly served the Saura District where he was recognized with multiple distinctions including being a Vigil Honor Member in The Tslagi Lodge Order of the Arrow and receiving the B.S.A. Silver Beaver award. Jack will always be remembered by thousands of scouts for his 100 gallon Brunswick stews and Friday night T-bones.
Jack was a registered member with the Central Church of Christ in Eden, North Carolina and touched the lives of everyone who was fortunate enough to meet him. Jack was also the founding source of multiple charity fundraising events throughout Rockingham and surrounding counties.
In Lieu of flowers or donations, Jack requested that every person wanting to honor him “do something nice for someone they don’t know”.
