Minnie Q. Adams
Minnie Ethel Quesinberry Adams, 95, of 100 Inman St., Martinsville, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, at her residence.
She was born March 7, 1908, in Floyd County, to the late Andrew Jackson Quesinberry and Rachel Elva Clay Quesinberry.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna A. Nelson; three sisters, Pearlie Q. Love, Arizona Q. Banks and Gracie Q. Bonds; and seven brothers, Wiley Quesinberry, Anderson Quesinberry, Shirley Quesinberry, Cabel Quesinberry, Charlie Quesinberry, Roy Quesinberry and Hughes Quesinberry.
She is survived by more than 100 descendants. They are: four daughters, Willowdean A. Pack and Nora Elva A. Coe, both of Martinsville, Thelma Lucille A. Hall of Stuart and Mildred Ethelyn A. Swinney of Axton; six sons, James Lee Akers of Manville, R.I., Charlie Everett Akers of Cana, Lonnie Edward Akers of Axton, Larry Wayne Akers of Snow Creek, Theodore Roy Akers of Alpine, Calif., and Allen Andrew Bryant of Stanleytown; one sister, Viola Q. Cole of Hillsville; 40 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Quesinberry family cemetery at Fancy Gap with Charles R. Tomlinson officiating.
The family will receive friends at Community Funeral Services in Ridgeway from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. [Martinsville Bulletin]

A graveside funeral for Minnie Ethel Quesinberry Adams, 95, of 100 Inman St., Martinsville, who died Dec. 14, 2003, was held Thursday at the Quesinberry family cemetery with Charles R. Tomlinson officiating.
Pallbearers were Rob Swinney, Tim Swinney, Anthony Swinney, Toby Akers, Tracy Akers, Tony Akers, Mike Bryant and Chad Akers.
