John Fisher Lee, 85, of Chester, Idaho completed his earthly life at the home of his daughter in Hibbard. Born in Hibbard, Idaho, one of seven children of Earl J. Lee and Emma LaVina Jensen, he married Maxene Patricia Ostler in November 1946. Raising three children, Stephen, Johnnie Sue and Vicki, John and Maxine divorced in 1964. In 1969 he married Maxine Cherry Wilding. She died in 2000. In 2005 he married Vesta Robison.

Serving in the U. S. Air Force during World War II as an airplane mechanic in the southern states, John joined Alcoholic's Anonymous and spent the rest of his life with the fellowship of other recovering alcoholics. He had a powerful influence on many people in this valley who have felt his love, strength and example. In this program he enjoyed the friendship of many people. He was very proud of his 47 years of sobriety.

His wife, Vesta, daughters: Johnnie Sue (Robert) Elliott, Vickie (Wayne) Grover, daughter-in-law Jean Lee, sisters, Evva Lenz, Gwen (Bud) Swanstrum, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren survive. His parents; two brothers, infant Ivan Lee, Orrin E. Lee; two sisters, Fern Stevens and Faye Mortensen; and son, Stephen Lee, predeceased John.
