Obituary for Mrs. Lois Lewis Knight.....
Mrs. Mattie Lois Adams Lewis Knight, 81, of Hicks Road, Toccoa, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017 at her home.
Born on June 6, 1935 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the Arthur H. Adams and Lena Hill Adams. Mrs. Knight was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church of Hartwell.
Survivors include two sons: Tim Lewis & his wife Susan of Appleton WI and Rod Lewis of Toccoa; a daughter: Dale Gainous of Toccoa; two sisters: Lucy Houck of Clayton GA and Mary Mason of Buford GA; six grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by her two husbands: Jim Lewis and Ray Knight; a son: Troy Peppers; a brother: William Adams and three sisters: Ruth Allen, Grace Welborn and Ann Bell Adams.
Funeral services will be Sunday, May 7, 2017, at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Tommy Cleveland officiating. Burial will be in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service. The family is at their respective homes. Flowers are optional, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
