He was a pioneer in the Point of Sale industry starting out with the NCR Company (National Cash Register). Joseph's most loved place to be was flying in the sky; freedom in its purest form.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Smith Ahearn; father, Joseph Ahearn, Sr.; first wife, Pennie Ahearn; and second wife, Martha Ahearn.
Joseph is survived by his daughter, Tracy (Scott) Henderson; sons, Joseph Ahearn III and John Ahearn; granddaughters, Ashley Henderson and Eva Presley Ahearn; brothers Michael, James, John Patrick and William F. Ahearn; and his dogs, Precious and Little Bit.
