Catherine Louise Abbey, 81, formerly of 905 St. Julian, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001, at ManorCare Health Services in Peoria.
Born Sept. 2, 1919, in Pekin to George and Bertha Peters Harms, she married Thomas Abbey on July 19, 1947, in Pekin. He died Feb. 1, 1999, in Pekin.
She also was preceded in death by three sisters and an infant brother.
Surviving are one stepdaughter, JoEllen White of Eau Claire, Mich., and one stepson, Thomas McMahill of Bradford.
She worked at Hiram Walker & Sons distillery in Peoria for 31 years, retiring as an assembler in 1975.
Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
