The funeral service for retired truck driver Daythel Dwayn “Dave” Buie of Puryear will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Springville Baptist Church. Bobby Sanders will officiate. Cremation was to follow.

Chosen as pallbearers are Bobby Buie, Chris Yeager, Gwin Christian, Nathaniel Christian, Doug Deporster and Gayle Tucker.

Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church. McEvoy Funeral Home is in charge.

Buie, 63, died Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville.

Born Dec. 16, 1946, in Henry County, he was a son of the late Robert Miller Buie and Willie Sue Hart Buie Aaron. Buie was a Baptist.

He leaves three daughters: Paula (Chris) Yeager of Hardin, Ky., Hallie Ann (Tommy) Childers of Ballard County, Ky., and Betty Delores (Larry) Wallace of Paducah; one son: Robert Dwayn Buie of Puryear;

Fifteen grandchildren: Lisa Tolbert; Marsha, Jamie and Stephanie Greer; Hannah, Caitlyn and Konner Buie; Gwin and Nathaniel Christian; Charlene Barnes; Rebecca and Robert Triplett; Kaylee and Keaton Dunn; and Kaedin Ezell;

Nine great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and his former wife, Patsey Rose Buie of Puryear.

He also was preceded in death by a brother: Delaine Buie; and a nephew: Darren Buie.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
