Roy C.Franklin, 73, of Clay City, died Jan. 18, 1991 at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL.

He was born Aug. 17, 1917 in Clay City, IL the son of Baldy and Josephine Noll Franklin. He married Doris Hunley on Jan. 28, 1939 in Henderson, KY and she survives.

Mr. Franklin was an independent oil producer. He was a member of the Baptist Church and the Flora Elks Club.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Floyd, Gary, R. C., and Mark; two daughters, Dallas Hemphill and Barbara Cunningham; four brothers, Willie, Malbert, Oris, and Nolan Franklin; two sisters, Hazel Smith and Norma Abbott; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Funeral services were held at Hosselton Bookhout and Engelmeier Funeral Home in Clay City.

Burial was in the Clay City Cemetery.
