They had a son and two daughters and lived in SD until 1955 when they moved to WY a short time before settling in Broadus where they owned and operated a trailer court. Bud was disabled in 1965 and she cared for him until his 1979 death. In 1992 her son and wife returned to Broadus to care for her in her home until a 1993 move to a nursing home.
Her hobbies included her yeard, fishing and being with grandchildren.
Mrs Ackerman, 80, passed away in Miles City on February 19, 2001. Survivors include a daughter, Ardis (Willis) Bartholomay, Terry; a son, Paul (Barb) Ackerman; three granddaughters, two grandson; and two-great-grandchildren.
