Albert was born in North Dakota to Albert K. Aahl and Andrea E. Jensen-Aahl. He had eleven brothers and sisters. After his father passed away, his mother moved to Seattle, Washington. Albert was married to Grace Stella Berger-Aahl and had a son and daughter. He was a successful welder by trade and one of many achievements was that he helped build facilities and the monorail for the 1962 World's Fair. Burial is at Evergreen-Washelli Cemetery in Seattle, Washington
