Born in Allen County Kentucky to the late Benjamin Harrison King and Nealie Florence Witcher King on October 4, 1928, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Simmons and siblings, Gladys King, William King, Douglas King, Clara Wygal, Evelyn Absher and infant sister Pernie King. She was a charter member of the White Plains Baptist Church and librarian at the Scottsville-Allen County Library and was one of the first to deliver books via the Bookmobile.
She is survived by her two sons, Jeffery Lewis Simmons and Joe Thomas Simmons (Pamala) both of Scottsville, her two granddaughters, Heather Ford (Brandon) and Haley Lich (Flint) and four great grandchildren; Gracyn, Payton, Ava and Gabriella.
Visitation will be Tuesday October 17, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the T. W. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday October 18, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the T. W. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Allen County Memorial Gardens.
Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Southern Kentucky or White Plains Baptist Church
