Evidence suggests Bessie's death may have been due to a miscarriage or abortion on 28 May 1942, when her mother underwent a "dilation and curettage". A week later, Bessie's mother died of "peritonitis, endometrial cyst and torsion necrosis". Both Bessie and Louise May Abbott are buried in the same cemetery lot. I cannot locate a death certificate for Bessie.
The Michigan Death Certificate says Louise was "divorced" at the time of her death. She had been married to Richard P. Dorman - 153198425 - but I could not locate a divorce decree. He would likely be Bessie's father but unable to document when the divorce occurred.
