Mrs. Betty J. Abney 45 of Maysville (Belgrade Community) died Thursday March 30, 2006 at Craven Regional Medical Center in New Bern NC. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday April 5, 2006, 2 PM at St. Stephen A. M. E. Zion Church Belgrade. Burial will follow in the White Oak Cemetery Maysville NC.
Survivors include daughters, Tanjuanwana Tarver of Jacksonville NC, Tiffany Bea of Maysville NC, son, Cruz Abney of Maysville NC, sisters, Mary Abney Maysville NC, Margaret Overman, Willie McQueen both of Jacksonville NC, and Mae Frances Jones of Maysville NC, brothers, Andrew Abney of Mississippi, and John Abney of Pollocksville NC.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 4, 2006, 7 PM to 8 PM at Saunders Funeral Home.
