Joy Miller Cole was a coal-miner's daughter of Henry Cecil Miller and wife, Ethel Aaron Miller, from Charleston, West Virginia.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Ronney Cole, her daughters Joy Cole-Ramey and husband Joseph, Rhonda Woodell and husband David, and Rebecca Braddy and her husband Jay; her grandchildren who were her biggest blessing Josie and Landrum Braddy, Aaron Ramey, and Abby Gray Woodell. She is also survived by loving sister Wanda Miller, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Oleatta Morehead, Maureen Small, Nell Thornton, Jo Cuthbertson; and brothers, Dick Miller and Bill Miller.
Joy was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church where she was in the Women of Word Sunday School Class and the XYZ Club. She loved the women of her class who were sisters in Christ.
