A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Granite Hill Cemetery. Chapel of the Valley-L.B. Hall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Beekman was born Aug. 26, 1906, in Deer Park, Wash. On Oct. 15, 1927, in Deer Park, she married Oliver Beekman, who died in April 1990. They moved to Grants Pass in 1953 and were known as the couple who rode around town on bicycles labeled "Mom sicle" and "Pop sicle."
Survivors include six daughters, Penny Bossom of North Bend, Phyllis Hartley of Coos Bay, Dolly Johnson and Patricia Martin, both of Grants Pass, Louise "Peachy" Meyers of Salem and Linda Bodie of Portland; a son, Jerry Beekman of Philomath; 23 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-great-grandchildren.
Her infant son, James Beekman, died before her.
