Allen A. Abadie, Jr. was born on December 22, 1935 in New Orleans and he passed away on December 24, 2009 in Jefferson, LA.

He was the beloved husband of Margarite Camardelle Abadie for 44 years, the devoted father of Allen Abadie, III, Genevieve Hooter, Timothy Abadie, Sr., and Mark Abadie, the loving grandfather of Timothy Abadie, Jr., Allen Abadie, IV, Ronald Hooter, Chad Sampey, Taylor Abadie, Logan Abadie, the late Alyssa Abadie, Deborah Gaudet, Meagan Abadie, Genna Hooter, Danielle Hooter, Jordan Guillot, Ashley Sampey and Brittany Sampey as well as the great-grandfather of Destiny Gaudet, Peter Gaudet, Mason Hooter, Millian LaBiche and Kadence Treadaway.

He was the father-in-law of Hester Abadie, Crystal Abadie and Sedonia Sampey.
He was the son of the late Allen (Nat) Abadie, Sr. and Isabella Ohmer Abadie as well as the brother of the late Evert (Jay) Abadie, Shirley Gaspard, Ruby Spurr, Earl Abadie, Louis Abadie, the late Formen Abadie and Louise Dufrene.
He was the son-in-law of the late Louis Carmadelle and Leona Savoie Camardelle and he is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

He retired from Touchard, Inc. with 35 years of service and he will be remembered for his love of fishing and the catfish king of the MS River.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services from WESTSIDE/LEITZ-EAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 5101 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY, MARRERO. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 28, 2009 from 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM and again on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM when a Service will be held in the Chapel. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Westwego, LA. Sunday, December 27, 2009
