Martha Alice Clark Abell, 90, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William Randolph Abell and parents William Gratton and Sheila Stratton Clark.
Martha was a longtime member of Thrasher Memorial United Methodist Church and retired from Allstate Insurance Co. after 23 years of service.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with Pastor Jay Song officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery, Vinton. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the LOA Local Office on Aging to benefit Meals-on-Wheels, PO Box 14205, Roanoke, VA 24038-4205
