Stanley was born to Winford Vero and LaVerna Ruth (Hutson) Adams. He grew up in Oshkosh and attended school there. Stanley graduated from Garden County High in 1970 and attended one year at Oklahoma Wesleyan College in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
Stanley lived in Colorado Springs and Dallas, Texas working many jobs including PepsiCo, a moving and storage company, a liquor store and steel mill factory.
He returned to Oshkosh to take care of his mother when her health began to fail. He worked in many places around Oshkosh. He did yardwork, worked in a feedlot and dog farm.
Stanley enjoyed his yard, bowling, playing pool, visiting with friends at the Eagles Club and he was proud of his cars and football team, the Cowboys.

Sisters: Donna (Randy) Wolvington and Melodie Adams
Nephews and great nephews
