BOURJILIE, Sadie Mae Key, 75, of Richmond, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 12, 2018. Sadie was preceded in death by her parents, Zelma Key Doggett and Henry Key; her sister, Martha Rexrode; and her brother, Lewis Key. She is survived by her husband, Edward N. Abourjilie; her son, O.J. Parrish Jr. and wife, Jessie; as well as her beloved granddaughter, June Parrish. Sadie also leaves behind her sister, Peggy Bibee; and a brother, Kenneth Key; stepchildren, Charles Abourjilie and wife, Karen, Rebecca Stricklin and Denise Abourjilie and their children; as well as sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and several nieces and nephews. Sadie was a hairdresser for many years and taught cosmetology at The Virginia School of Cosmetology in Richmond. She enjoyed getting together with family and friends and loved cooking for those gatherings. Sadie made friends wherever she went, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad Street, Glen Allen, Va., on Saturday, March 17, 2018. Visitation will be at noon and the service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be at Trinity Episcopal Church, 18185 Teman Road, Beaverdam, Va. 23015, following the service.
