Daisy Aaron died February 27, 1904. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Ashley and a number of other friends will go today to Bennett's Switch to attend the funeral of Mrs. Daisy W. Aaron, whose death on Saturday was told of in yesterday's News. (Probably Indianapolis News)
The funeral service will be held in the Stringtown mission church, one mile east of Bennett's,beginning at 1 o'clock today. and burial will be in Chittig Cemetery. The service will be conducted by Rev. Shepherd Shutters.
Mrs. Aaron was well known in Kokomo. All who knew her loved her and her early death comes as a shock to many friends. Daughter of John D. Carnine, she was born only twenty years ago near Bennett's. While she was an infant her mother died. She grew up into a lovely girlhood and womanhood and those privileged to know her esteemed themselves favored by her friendship. In August of 1902 she was married to John Aaron. It was a happy union, severed all too soon. A six-month-old baby boy is left with the stricken husband. Relatives that mourn today are Mrs. Aaron's father; John D. Carnine; her brothers, Orin, Edgel and Clayton Carnine, who all live near Bennett's. and a sister, Mrs. Effie Daniels of Peru. Two aunts of the deceased, Mrs. Annie Featheringill and Mrs. Ollie Quinn, and an uncle, Ephraim Combs, all of Franklin, will attend the funeral today.
