Mr. Abrams was born on January 23, 1931, to the late Huey Abrams and Mae Bell Sanders. Known as “The Deacon" by most of his family members, Mr. Richard Lee Abrams, Sr., joined the United States Army at an early age and served his country well. On July 11, 1964, he was united in holy matrimony to his sweetheart. Anyone who knew Mr. Abrams would agree that he was a free spirit and full of life and joy. Mr. Abrams loved to sing and had a way of getting the congregation excited about the Lord. Early on March 29, 2018, God called him from labor to reward.
The family is receiving friends at 87 Chester Street in Wrightsville.
