Geneva Inez Fennelle Wages, (Nell), 92, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, February 18, 2003. Nell was loved and respected by all who had the pleasure of knowing her and will be sorely missed by her many friends and family. She was a well known clothier, having owned several ladies shops in the Jacksonville area since 1952. She was a longtime member of Avondale Baptist Church, a member of American Business Womens Association, and resided at the Park Lane condominiums for the past 25 years. Mrs. Wages was predeceased by her loving husband, Leon R. Wages. She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Harmon Wages of Jacksonville; sister, Helen Fennelle Farmer of St. Marys, GA; brother, Ray Harmon Fennelle of Jacksonville, and many loving nieces, nephews and their children. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, Feb. 21 in the Chapel of HARDAGEGIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 729 S. Edgewood Avenue with Pastor Jack Whitley officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday (today) at the funeral home. Mrs. Wages will be laid to rest at Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Avondale Baptist Church.
