Lynnie Abernathy Bridges was born January 25, 1933, in Pinola, MS to Tom Abernathy and Rosie Sullivan Abernathy. She was a seamstress in the sewing factory and a member of Whitesand Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Rosie Abernathy of Pinola, MS; and her husband of 48 years, James “Jimmy” Harold Bridges.
Mrs. Bridges is survived by four children, Billy H. Bridges (Vicky) of Prentiss, Marilyn Banks Bevill (Tony) of Prentiss, Aaron Bridges (Fran) of Mendenhall and Darron Bridges (Kim) of Prentiss; Four Grandchildren, Tobi Bridges Berry of Hattiesburg, Samantha Banks Morrow of Magee, Josh Banks (Amanda) of Hattiesburg and Hollie Bridges of Mendenhall; Five Great Grandchildren, Carlie Anne Morrow, Hannah Morrow, Connor Banks, Grayce McNabb and Nathan Bridges; Three Brothers, John Thomas (Bo) Abernathy of Magee, Jimmy Lloyd (Mary) Abernathy of Florence and Pat Abernathy of Wiggins; Two Sisters, Annie Lee Walker of Byram and Irene Rodgers of Wiggins; A host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 at Saulters Funeral Home before the service.
