On Monday, December 5th, George W. Abbott sank peacefully to rest. In the autumn of 1891 he came from Ohio to this county to be near his children.
Mr. Abbott was a native of Ohio, and was about 77 years of age. When about twenty-one years of age, he was married to Malinda Pinnell, his sorrowful survivor. Three of his children, J. S. and C. P. Abbott and Mrs. Jacobs, are well known to most of our people.
George W. Abbott was also the father of Sarah Arminda Abbott Waters Jacobs.
