Ben Ackerman's Funeral.
The funeral of Ben Ackerman who died at the county farm Thursday was held from the Catholic church Thursday morning and the body laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery west of Burlington Thursday afternoon. It has been expected that the body would be taken to Waverly for interment, but his brother Geo. came down Wednesday night and it was then decided to bury here.

Ben Ackerman Dead
Ben Ackerman died at the county farm Wednesday about noon of tuberculosis, age 57 years. Mr. Ackerman has lived in and around Burlington for a good many years and is well known by a good many Coffey county people he has two brothers, one at Waverly the other at Oklahoma. Ben has been living at the county farm in a tent for the past year and has been given the best treatment possible. The funeral was held at the Catholic church Thursday morning, Dec. 2 at 9:30.
