James Horseman was born 1 October 1854 at Holland Landing,York County Province of Ontario Canada. He was baptised 25 April 1861 at Wesleyan Methodist Church East Gwilliambury,York County,Canada by Reverand Thomas Hanna. His Parents were Richard & Sarah Tabor Horseman. He died at University Hospital Minneapolis, Minnesota. THE NEWS-DEMOCRAT,CHATFIELD,MINNESOTA OBITUARY-JAMES T. HORSEMAN WYKOFF ENTERPRISE: James Tabor Horseman was born in Canada on October 1,1854 and died April 2,1928,at the University Hospital in Minneapolis at the age of 74 years,6 months,and 2 days. The deceased came with his parents to Minnesota as a small boy & settled in Fillmore County where he resided until a short time ago. He was married to Miss Emma Baumgartner(Correct spelling Bumgarner)November 27,1883 to which union there were born seven sons and four daughters,who mourn with the mother remain to mourn his death. The sons are:Delbert,Alvah,John, Cleve,William,Adam and Tom,all of whom are residents of Spring Valley and vicinity. The daughters are Mrs. Dora Aaby of Molt,Montana,Mrs. Clara Karver,Mrs. Eva Kleinhams(should be Kleinhans) and Mrs. Mildred Seabright,all of Chatfield. He also leaves one brother,John Horseman of Leavenworth,Washington and one sister Mrs. Jane Cooper of Browns Valley,Minnesota. Funeral services were conducted in the M.E. church at Washington on Wednesday afternoon,April 4th by Rtev. Geo. H. Whiteaker of Fillmore. Miss Mildred Farrington,Mr. Alvin Arnold,Hallie Drury and Lionel Manley assisted in the music. Interment was made in the Washington Cemetery.
