CLAUDINE VEST FAIN EDEN - Claudine Vest Fain, of Eden Estates, went home to be with her Lord Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at Morehead Memorial Hospital, after a lengthy illness.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, at First Baptist Church of Draper. Burial will be in Dan View Cemetery.Born in Floyd County, Va., on July 12, 1916, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Draper and was a choir member of the church for many years. She was retired from Fieldcrest Mills.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Leonard Fain.
She is survived by her daughter, Joan Carpenter Massey and husband, Morgan of Richmond, Va.; son, Cecil Butch 5/8 Carpenter and wife, Brenda of Greensboro; step-daughters, Linda Fain Haynes and husband, Philip of Fredricksburg, Va., and Theresa Fain Christensen and husband, Chris of Kanab, Utah; eight grandchildren, Taylor Massey, Craig Massey, Charles Carpenter, Sarah Carpenter, Melita Pickens, Daniel Haynes, Jonathan Christensen and Joshua Christensen; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lois Bailey of Stuart, Va.
Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, at Fair Funeral Home. The family will meet other times at the home of a nephew, Clarence Bowling, 1722 Maryland Ave., Eden.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Draper, 1017 Fieldcrest Road, Eden, N.C. 27288.
