Marion was the oldest child of Laurence and Ida (Ratell) Coburn; w/o Chester A. Abbey, whom she married on June 7, 1952 in Barre, VT.

She was raised in Barre, VT and graduated from Barre High School with the class of 1947.

Marion and Chester made their home together in Montpelier, VT, where they welcomed their two children, Linda and Darryl.

The young family moved to Manchester, NH in 1963, then to Southington, CT in 1966, before settling in Walpole, MA in 1967.
In 1986, she and Chester moved to South Hampton, Bermuda. After returning to the United States in 1990, Marion and Chester initially made their home in Keene, NH. Four short years later, Marion and Chester settled in Litchfield, NH. After her husband passed in 2004, Marion returned to Walpole, MA.

She is survived by her daughter Linda A. Saripalli of Norwood and son Darryl A. Abbey of Holliston; her grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother Lawrence Coburn of League City, TX; Charles Coburn of Barre, VT.

She is predeceased by her husband Chester; sisters Patricia Price, and brother George Coburn.
