June 12, 1931 - September 18, 2018 Mrs. Betty Jean Riddle Sparkman born June 12, 1931 departed this life on Tuesday September 18, 2018 in Nashville, Tennessee being 87 years old. Betty Jean was born in Lothair, Kentucky the daughter of the late Charles Riddle and the late Raniah Campbell Riddle. Other than her parents, Betty Jean was also preceded in death by her Husband, Squire Sparkman, Jr.; Son, Jerry Abbott; Brothers, Norval, Olbert, Odis and Jim; Sister, Madelyn. Betty Jean was a longtime resident of Letcher County, a Member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky. Betty Jean loved her family dearly, and enjoyed playing Bingo.



Mrs. Betty Jean Sparkman leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: Son, Glenn Edward Sparkman & Brad of Hermitage, TN; Three Daughters, Linda Diane Larkey & Jim of Lexington, KY, Terri Abbott of Hermitage, TN and Denise King of Hermitage, TN; Two Sisters, Shirley Stacy and Loretta Sturgeon both of Phoenix, AZ; Grandchildren, Arthur, Rebekah, Derek, Brittany, Michael and Katie; Great-Grandchildren, Domitrious, Brylee, Little Derek, Tyler, Dax and Lyric; A host of other relatives and friends survive.



Funeral Services for Mrs. Betty Jean Sparkman will be conducted on Friday September 21, 2018 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Tony Hancock officiating. The Interment will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery located at Jeff, Kentucky.
