Ashley Shaquita Abney, of Marigold Street, entered into rest September 25, 2018. Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Jeter Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Jasper Lloyd officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Ashley was a 2008 graduate of Strom Thurmond High School and a member of Jeter Baptist Church.
Survivors include her parents, George and Shirley Abney; her children, Jadon, Janiya, Jaquese and Javion Abney; a sister, Courtney Abney (De'marcus Price); a brother, Scotty Etheredge; grandparents, Willie and Georgia Calhoun; godmother, Monique Smith; god brother, Robert Coleman, Jr.,; uncle, Robert (Evelyon) Mitchell; great aunts, Betty (Charles) Richardson and Geneva (Warren) Chinn; devoted friend, Carlo Harris: a host of cousins , other relatives and friends. Friends may visit the residence of her grandparents, 29 Morange Street, Edgefield or after 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
