An avid gardener, horsewoman, and nature-lover, she had dedicated her life to the happiness and well-being of her family.
She is survived by her parents, Charles W. & Lucille Abbott, Jacksonville, NC; her husband of 27 years, N. Clark Rechtin; two sons, David Larsen, Louisville, KY; Nathan Rechtin, Louisville, KY; daughter, Lelia Rechtin, Louisville, KY; brother, Charles W. Abbott Jr, Gardenerville, NV; sister, Sue Cruddas, Jacksonville, NC; niece, Brooke Cruddas, Jacksonville, NC; and two nephews, Charles W. Abbott III, Los Angeles, CA; and Matthew Turner, Louisville, KY.
