H. L. Acey Of Mathews Dies In New York
Mathews, Dec. 22 - Capt. Harold Lewis Acey, 52, of Mathews, and Staten Island, N.Y., died unexpectedly today at his Staten Island home.
He was a port captain for the Tracey Steamship Co., New York, N.Y. He was a member of Oriental Lodge 20 AF & AM in Mathews.
Capt. Acey is survived by his wife, Mrs. Frances Jarvis Acey of Mathews; three sisters, Mrs. Raymond A. Green, of Mathews, Mrs. Emma A. Boweman of Richmond, and Mrs. Wallace Fletcher of Gloucester; four brothers, Col. Raymond Acey of Norfolk, Elmer M. Acey of Norfolk, Capt. Dallas B. Acey of Mathews, and Capt. Allen F. Acey of Seattle, Wash.
The body is at Foster Funeral Home in Mathews. Funeral plans are incomplete.
