Mr. Taft was a native of Helena, Montana and was a resident of the Mississippi Coast since 1955. He was a WWII Veteran, a former P.O.W. and was retired from the USAF. Mr. Taft was a lifetime member of the Ocean Springs V.F.W. Post.
Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years, Ethel Taft; daughters, Linda (Mel) Gilchrist, Sharon Warning, and Aletha (Bobby) Howard; sons, Paul J. (Julie) Maia, David (Meta) Maia and Jerald Taft; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held.
