Helene B. Jocks, age 92, of Midland, MI and a former long time resident of AuSable Township, MI passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Midland, MI.
She was born in Flint, MI on June 3, 1926 to the late Otto Frederick and Bertha Minna Wartenberg (Stief). Helene graduated from Kearsley High School in Flint, MI in 1944.
She took pride in partnering with her husband in raising their 6 children and spoiling their 13 grandchildren and really spoiling their 17 great grandchildren. Helene enjoyed quilting, sewing, embroidering, gardening, playing (and winning) card and board games, putting puzzles together, traveling and most importantly, spending time with her friends and family.
She is survived by her children, Jim (Gayle) Jocks, Linda Moulder, Diana (Paul) Lacson, Bob (Dani) Jocks, Ellen (Tony) Erickson and Barb (John) Meier; sister, Bertha Adair; grandchildren, Jeff (Jodi) Jocks, Mike (Jen) Jocks, Stephanie (Chris) Budnik, Tim O'Melia, Rob (Jen) O'Melia, Michelle (Kevin) Robinson, Andrea Lacson, Erin (Jason) Chagnon, Melissa (Alex) Weaver, Bill Erickson, Melanie (Devron) Moore, Shannon (Jesse) Donoghue and Ryan Collins. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren and 8 nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Jocks; infant son, Lloyd Jocks, Jr.; great-grandson, Bryce O'Melia and sons-in-law, Tom O'Melia and Bill Moulder.
