Johannes Henne was born on Feb. 11th, 1866, and was the son of Peter and Louisa (Engel) Henne. He was born in Klostitz, Bessarabia, South Russia, of Germans from Russia descent. On Jan. 19th, 1889, Johannes married Dorothea Christina (Hoffman). In 1902, he and Christina immigrated with his parents, some of his siblings, and his children to North Dakota. Johannes and Christina were the parents to David Henne, John Henne, Christine Rivinius, Alexander Henne, Emilia Engel, and Gottlieb Henne. His brothers were Gottlieb Henne, Christian Henne, Adolph Henne, Arndt Henne; His sisters were Margaretta (Henne) Seidler, and Elizabeth (Henne) Henke Muller. Johannes was a farmer in the Coleharbor area. He died on June 10th, 1943.
