She was the daughter of the late Lemuel Raymond (Sr.) and Josephine McRae Douglas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Hill; daughter, Yolanda Larden Hooker; brother, Lemuel R. Douglas, Jr.; and two sisters, Pamela Douglas McNeill and Wilda Diane Douglas Walker. She was survived by a son, John "Paul" Larden (Latita); two daughters, September Lucas (Shaun) and Crystal Hill (Patrick); son-in-law, Charles Hooker; three sisters, Barbara Aaron, Lisa Manning, and Lorenda Charity; two uncles; nine aunts; and thirteen grandchildren. Her son, John Paul "Paul" Larden, died April 27, 2024, in Sanford, Lee County, NC.
