Jason Anthony Abalos of Swansboro, NC passed away in the home Thursday, January 5, 2017, after a long courageous battle with brain cancer.
He was born in Jacksonville, NC on March 1, 1981, to Lawrence and Debbie Abalos and graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1999, where he was a star athlete. His contagious smile and loving personality could light up a room and he was a natural at everything he did. He found his passion at the Jacksonville Fire Department, after following in his father's footsteps. He will be profoundly missed by his friends, family, and everyone who had the privilege and were blessed to know him.
Jason is survived by his wife, Tracy; his children, Gracie and Jayson; his parents, Lawrence and Debbie Abalos; his brother, Lawrence Abalos (Clara); his sister, Danyel Abalos; his maternal grandparents, Bill and Toni Harris and paternal grandmother, Ramona Torres; mother and father in law, Robert (PJ) and Sharon McManus; sisters in law, Christy (Roy), Ashley (Mike); and nieces and nephews, Jamel, Carter, Gabrielle, Kalea, Sophia; and fur baby, Little Bear.
