Karen A. (A'Hearn) Jaeger, 74, of Dubuque, passed away Friday, November 20, 2015, at Stonehill Care Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, at Church of the Resurrection, with Rev. Mark Murphy officiating. Family will greet friends from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. today at Hoffmann Schneider and Kitchen Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 3860 Asbury Road.
Karen was born October 24, 1941, in Epworth, Iowa, daughter of Francis and Betty (Schenkelberg) A'Hearn. She married Thomas Jaeger June 25, 1960.
She was a Realtor for over 35 years starting with the Gibson Partners. She was co-owner of Dubuque Partners Realtors and retired in 2004 from Duggan Realty. She was also a member of the Dubuque Chamber of Commerce and spent some time as an Ambassador. Karen was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and loved to tailgate. She also loved to play cards and in her younger days golfing, bowling and spending time on the river were her favorite activities. She is a member of Resurrection parish.
Surviving is her husband, Thomas Jaeger, of Dubuque; a daughter, Kimberly Ann Jaeger; a son, Kevin Thomas (Gina) Jaeger; four grandchildren, Mason, Rachel, Tyler and Alexa Jaeger, all of Dubuque; three sisters, Patricia (Patrick) McDermott, of Epworth, Janet Hingtgen, of Farley, and Joan Schmitt, of Cedar Rapids; and a brother, Michael A'Hearn, of Arvada, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; and a brother, Bob A'Hearn, of Cedar Rapids.
A Karen A. Jaeger Memorial Fund has been established.
