John Vann Abbott, 45, of Bel Alton, MD, died April 9, 2009, at his residence.

Mr. Abbott was a Master Electrician for 22 years with D.C. WASA -Blue Plains Treatment Facility.

He was a homebody who enjoyed reading, science, and was an animal lover.

Born December 13, 1963, in Washington, DC, he was the son of the Jack Woody Abbott and the late Gloria Jean Gilroy Abbott.

Survived by his father, Jack Abbott; his wife, Andrea King Abbott; son, Joshua A. Abbott of Bel Alton, MD; daughter, Taylor A. Abbott of Bel Alton, MD; and brother, Jack R. and his wife Mary Abbott of Mechanicsville, MD.

Visitation will be Monday, April 13, 2009, from 11AM - 12Noon at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD, with a funeral service beginning at 12 Noon. Reverend Mark Roberson will officiate.

Interment will be at a later date.
