~~Life Reflections~~ Reather Bell Brown Tilley, age 80, was born on July 28, 1937 in Barnwell, SC. She was the daughter of the late Paul Brown, Sr. And Melrose Odom Brown. But was reared in by Ammie Brown. She departed this life early Thursday morning, January 25, 2018 at Pruitt Health in Barnwell, SC. At an early age, she joined the Brown Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Barnwell, SC. She was an Usher Board President for a number of years, member of the Choir, Missionary, Pastor Aide, and Prayer Band. Reather received her former education in the Barnwell public system. She worked diligently in the 1960's civil rights movement. She was united in holy wedlock to the late Reverend Julious Tilley, Sr. To this union eight children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Julious Tilley, Sr.; (1) Grandson, William H. Robinson, Jr.; (5) Brothers, Pernell Brown, Eastmill Brown, Paul Brown Jr., Johnny Mack Brown, and Malachi Brown. Reather leaves to mourn her passing: (3) Sons, Julious Tilley, Jr. (Doris), Oscar Tilley, and Jacob Tilley, all of Barnwell, SC; (6) Daughters, Brenda (Fred) Dukes Of Williston, SC, Paula (James) Johnson of Windsor, SC, Catherine Tilley Of Barnwell, SC, Ammie (William) Robinson of Blackville, SC, Dareather (Don) Galloway of Denmark, SC, Lynette (Clifford) Holzendorf Of Miami, FL; Beloved Mother, Ammie Brown Harley of Barnwell, SC; (3) Brothers, Andy Brown, George Lee Brown, and Matthew (Norma) Brown all of Barnwell, SC; (5) sisters, JoAnn (Ulysses) O'Neal, Lottie Abdelghany, Viola B. Williams, and Earline Brown, and Cynthia Marshall, all of Barnwell, SC; (1) Brother in-law, Daniel Tilley of Miami, FL; (3) sisters in-law, Hester Roberts of Miami, FL, Lessie Hutto and Mary Darby, Both Of Charlotte, NC; (26) grandchildren; (14) great grandchildren; (2) special friends, Deloris Myers of Barnwell, SC And Jessie Glover of Blackville , SC; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and other sorrowing friends.
