Felicitas "Fely" Abadilla Kabei, 69, of Kailua-Kona died Dec. 26 at Life Care Center of Kona. Born in Dingas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was a janitor for the Department of Transportation at the Keahole Kona Airport. She was a high school teacher in the Philippines, a housekeeper at the Islander Inn, former Kona Surf and Keauhou Beach hotels and the Mauna Lani Beach Resort. She was a member of the Ilocano Ancestry Club, Filipino of West Hawaii Kona and an ILWU organizer. Friends may call at 9 a.m. on Jan. 18 at the Central Kona Union Church in Kealakekua for an 11 a.m. funeral service. Casual attire. Flowers welcome. Survived by husband, Irving Kabei of Kealakekua; son, Darwin (Marilou) Delos Santos of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Janette (Martin) Remo of Kailua-Kona, Eileen (Teodoro) Sambrana of Marikina, P.I.; brothers, Levi (Delia) Abadilla of Dingras, Ilocos Norte, P.I., Jholito (Ofelia) Abadilla of Kailua-Kona; sisters, Nelia Aguiran of Kohala, Norma (Manuel) Jadulang of Kohala, Hermelita (Claude) Martel of Kailua-Kona, Elma Domingo of Kohala, Lorna (Roman) Gatica of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 13 grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
