George W. Adair was the first child of George Washington Adair and Almira Hamblin. He was born along the Mormon trail between southern Utah and Arizona probably somewhere between Lee's Ferry, AZ and Sunset, AZ. After their arrival in Alpine (then Bush Valley), he died the same day as his cousin Betsey Jane Mangum and they were both placed in the same hand made wooden casket and buried together on the hill that is now the Alpine Cemetery.
