Eliel Kayo Mounteer, age 71, passed away August 7, 2019 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Utah and traveled the country proudly serving with the National Guard. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Howell Grantham American Legion Post #53. He was a caring, passionate man who never met a stranger. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend that will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Mounteer; daughter, Robin Ables; grandchildren, Amanda Ables Ramshur, Austin Ables and Johnny Lee Eunice; parents, Robert Kayo and Ila Winder Mounteer; siblings, Martha Shrum, Andy Boyd and Emma Hymas.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Ronnie Mounteer, Rebecca Leger, Lucy Mounteer-Vasko and Eliel Mounteer; grandchildren, Santanna Mounteer, Logan Ables, Chasity Leger, Colby Leger, Cable Leger, Robin Eunice, Jordan Mounteer and Kameron Mounteer; great grandchildren, Cayden Busby, Aiden Leger, Cohen Newbaker-Leger, Brantley Mounteer, Owen Mounteer and Harper Mounteer; siblings include, Christine Hunt, Darlene Girlie, Gary Boyd and Jo Jarmen; close family friend, Becky Lynn Clement and numerous other relatives and friends.
The Visitation for Mr. Kayo Mounteer will be Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow beginning at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Ables Cemetery in the Agricola community. Pallbearers include Colby Leger, Logan Ables, Jordan Mounteer, Kameron Mounteer, Phillip Hunt, John Bruebaker, Alex Vasko and Zachery Vasko.
