Services will be 2 p.m. today (28 December 1992) at Sievers-Laufersweiler Funeral Home in Bode, with the Rev. Mark Youngquist, pastor of St. Olaf Lutheran Church of Bode, officiating. Burial will be in St. Olaf Cemetery. Visitation is after noon today at the funeral home.
Survivors include a brother, Earl Aasheim, Enderlin, N.D.; sister Lorna Shelver, Washington; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother and one brother.
He was born 17 May 1907 at Enderlin, N.D. As a young boy he moved with his family to Florida. In 1970, he moved to Bode, where he worked on a farm for his brothers Earl and Maurice. He later was employed on farms for Carlisle Halsrud and Clifford Helland, both near Bode. He entered the Good Samaritan Home in Algona in 1989.
